Quick Poll!

Posted on January 15, 2012

Hey guys! Before I take a short break for finals week, I want to try something new for this blog.  Since I'll probably run out of topics to write about, I thought a poll would inspire me to have some new ideas. :D   The first (YAY!) poll I want you guys to answer will be really simple (and shouldn't require too much thought).  I'm just experimenting with this blog thing.  I'll update with my opinion on the poll results when I come back from finals week. Thanks everyone, please vote! :)

A Quick Update (Before Finals)!

Posted on January 15, 2012

Hey everyone! It's been a pretty long time since my last update (a couple months, actually. :( )  I haven't actually had the time to check on my blog since summer, but I'll try to post every once in a while.

First semester is quickly coming to a close!  I'll probably type up my next blog entry after finals week. (Wish me luck!)

Sorry for the slow (and short) updates, I'll try to improve on my time management skills! (:

A Short Story : Lunch With Grandpa.

Posted on August 12, 2011

Yesterday I ate lunch with my dad and my grandma at a local Cantonese cafe.  No big deal, right?  The suprising thing is that GRANDPA ACTUALLY PAID FOR HIS SHARE.  Our jaws instantly dropped.  It was the biggest plot twist in my family's history.  Don't get me wrong, grandpa isn't a bad person.  He just happens to be stingy when it comes to money. We were so excited about this sudden change that we actually let him pay for his meal, which was around $10.  After we dropped Grandpa to his home, we didn't bring up the topic again.

Today, my grandma dropped by to visit.  She was busy at her friend's house yesterday so she couldn't eat lunch with us.  We were talking and talking until she said, "Ugh, that stupid husband of mine.  He made me pay him $10 yesterday."

My grandpa made his wife pay for his lunch...

Because he thought that he was doing her a favor by accompanying us in her place.

Break Almost Ends.

Posted on August 12, 2011

My break week is coming to a close.  For the next two weeks, I'll be busy with hell wee... I mean "Flag Camp", and Music Camp.  Hopefully, it'll be as fun (or even better) than last year.  :)   Well, I know I won't be as clueless as I was when I was a freshman, that's for sure.  Haha!

Before all the fun starts though, I'm going to have to finish my Mists of Avalon and start doing some PSAT/SAT studying.  I've been kinda procrastinating on my Mists of Avalon (I'm only a little more than halfway done. D:)  Anyways, I'll need to speed up my reading if I want to really have a fun Music Camp.

There isn't too much for me to talk about.  For the whole week, I've been going to Wing Chun classes and studying some SAT vocab.  Hopefully, the hard work will pay off when its time for me to take the test.  :D

By the way, I saw a HUGE ant today.

A New Beginning

Posted on August 7, 2011

Hey everyone!  Sorry for the really late update, I've been awfully busy lately.  After showing my relatives from Hong Kong a tour of the area, finishing up summer school, and signing up for my Wing Chun classes,  I probably have a lot to write about.  Actually,  I have too much to write about.  So I'll start with the most recent events and I'll go back to the past weeks with my future posts.

I had my first Wing Chun lesson yesterday, and I have to admit, it was pretty hard.  Obviously, it wasn't as tiring as color guard (with it's intense conditioning and the like), but it was still pretty difficult for me.  I learned two basic exercises (or something similar to it, I can't really describe it.  It's kinda like a warm up thing that's the basis for all Wing Chun.)  I'm looking forward to my second lesson tomorrow. :D

Color guard has this week off, as a break before flag camp (otherwise known as hell week) and music camp.  I'll be using this break to start learning some more Wing Chun before school starts.  I hope this is a beginning of a new passion. :)
